Position Overview
58 Creativity is seeking a Freelance Graphic Design Assistant to support product layout and production projects, with a strong focus on Adobe InDesign. This is a freelance contractor role (not employment). It’s best suited for someone who wants to practice and grow their InDesign skills while working on real projects that may become part of our product line.
This contract is limited to 3 months with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.
Work is assigned per project, and payment is made at a flat rate once the final design is approved and accepted.
Compensation (Per Project)
Projects are categorized by difficulty before assignment

Level 1 (Easy): $25
Examples: simple flyer layout, resizing existing designs, updating text in a template. -
Level 2 (Moderate): $50
Examples: single-page worksheet, poster with text + graphics, social media template design. -
Level 3 (Challenging): $75
Examples: multi-page booklet, detailed infographic, complex product layout. -
Level 4 (Advanced): $100+
Examples: full product-design ( multi-page layouts prepared for print production.)
Only completed, approved projects selected for use will be paid. Practice drafts or revisions not selected are part of the learning process and unpaid.
Responsibilities

Build clean, professional layouts in Adobe InDesign for posters, books, worksheets, and other products.

Apply existing artwork, text, and branding into ready-to-print or digital layouts.

Deliver final files according to provided specifications.

Make revisions based on feedback until the project is approved.
Requirements

Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator (both are essential).

Familiarity with Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus (not required).

Strong attention to detail in typography, and spacing

Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

Must be legally able to work as a U.S. contractor (responsible for own taxes)
